Terms of Service for Habit Oracle

Welcome to Habit Oracle, an RPG habit tracking and productivity application owned and operated by VenX Technologies LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before downloading, installing, or using the Habit Oracle mobile application (the "App") or associated website located at habitoracle.com.

By downloading, accessing, or using Habit Oracle, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Age Requirements & Child Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Habit Oracle is designed to be safe and accessible for users of all ages:

Users Under 13 Years of Age ("Protected Mode"): If you are under 13 years of age, you may only use Habit Oracle in Protected Mode. In Protected Mode, all habit data, character stats, and progress are stored exclusively on your physical device. You may not create an account, sign in with Apple, Google, or email, or access CloudKit sync.
Users Aged 13 and Older: If you are 13 years of age or older, you may optionally create an account using Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or Email Sign-in to enable multi-device synchronization and online features.

Parental supervision is recommended for all minors using the App.

2. Account Registration & Security

For accounts created by users aged 13 and older:

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account authentication credentials.
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

You may delete your account and erase all associated data at any time directly within the App by navigating to Settings ⚙️ ➔ Legal & Privacy ➔ Delete Account.

3. Virtual Goods, Rewards, and Secret Promo Codes

Habit Oracle features an in-game role-playing economy including Gold coins, Gems, Titles, Equipment, Familiar pets, Avatar cosmetics, Theme tints (such as the Golden Midas theme), and Secret Promo Codes (collectively, "Virtual Goods"):

No Monetary Value: Virtual Goods are fictional in-game items created solely for entertainment and habit motivation. They have no real-world cash value, cannot be redeemed for real currency, and do not constitute property owned by the user.
Non-Transferable: Virtual Goods are tied to your personal account or device and may not be sold, traded, transferred, or assigned to any third party.
Promo Codes: Secret promo codes redeemed within the App award temporary or permanent in-game rewards. Promo codes may be modified, expired, or retired by VenX Technologies at any time without prior notice or liability.

4. No In-App Purchases or Subscriptions

Habit Oracle is 100% free to download and use. The App does not contain in-app purchases, microtransactions, paywalls, or paid recurring subscriptions. All core habit tracking features, RPG progression, avatar customizations, and mountain quests are available to users at no cost.

5. Health, Wellness, and Motivational Disclaimer

Entertainment & Motivation Only: Habit Oracle is a gamified habit tracker designed to encourage self-improvement and productivity. It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or licensed health service.
Not Medical Advice: Content within the App, including habit templates, streak tracking, or companion guidance from "Ollie the Otter," does not constitute medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding medical conditions or wellness goals.

6. User Conduct & Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Habit Oracle.
Use automated scripts, bots, or cheats to exploit in-game habit rewards, Gold, or XP.
Transmit any unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or offensive text within habit titles or custom quest notes.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All rights, title, and interest in and to Habit Oracle — including all original artwork, character designs (including Ollie the Otter), sound effects, animations, user interfaces, code, copy, branding, logos, and visual assets — are and will remain the exclusive property of VenX Technologies LLC.

Habit Oracle™ and the Habit Oracle logos are trademarks or service marks of VenX Technologies LLC. All other product names, logos, and brands mentioned herein are property of their respective owners. Unauthorised copying, reproduction, or redistribution of any part of this software is strictly prohibited.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VenX Technologies LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) Habit Oracle.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms and notify users via the App or our website. Continued use of Habit Oracle after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
